How to find good quality Magnesium Sulphate /Epsom Salt

For Magnesium sulphate, as different of raw material , production process, and equipment actor, the quality is different . So how do we judge the quality of magnesium sulfate heptahydrate and find the best supplier. Generally speaking, the quality can be judged initially by the following methods.

1. Identify by appearance

For Magnesium Sulphate Heptahydrate, it include size 0.1-1 mm, 1-3 mm, 2-4 mm, 4-7 mm. Good quality magnesium sulphate is very white and pure , if it looks a little yellow or green, then it is not made by pure acid ,  production cost is lower accordingly.

2. Dissolve in the water

Dissolve 10 g of magnesium sulfate in 100 ml of water, stir, and observe whether there is insoluble matter in the aqueous solution, and observe the color of the aqueous solution. If water is clear, it show good quality Magnesium Sulphate. If water turns yellow or with many insoluble matter, it means quality is not good.

3. Third party judging

Take samples judged by third-party testing to determine its quality.
